Tilt23 Word Mark

What do you think is the hardest part of what you do for a living? Rachel just seems to me to be somebody who just kind of takes everything with ease anyway, so I don't know that I feel like they have anything that they would feel was maybe hard.

Probably trying to keep track of all the things that we throw their way, because there's a lot of different little things that oftentimes come up and get placed on their plate. When it comes to social media, just keeping up with all the trends, I think that sounds exhausting to me. It might not be hard for them.

The hardest part of what I do for a living is being on camera.

But Rachel's definitely got a lot of stuff that gets tossed on the plate. Rachel has a side wedding videography business, and so I know that is a lot in itself, and then also to just having to balance that with the work that they do for Tilt23. I'm sure that's just a lot to balance. I think the hardest part, what Rachel has to do, is edit this video and edit my part especially. I'm a little bit of the jack of all trades, and so I do a lot of sort of project hopping, and I am doing a little bit of everything. I'm doing grip work, so I help set up and tear down things. Editing, pre-production stuff, so planning. I think the editing is the hardest part. At the end of a day of editing, I am kind of a crazy person. I'm like, "Hi, how are you? What's going on?" My partner is like, "Have you not seen anyone today? Because it shows."

What do you think is the hardest part of what I do for a living? The hardest part of what Hector does for a living is editing, because I just don't like editing. I hate it. Editing in general is a slog. He obviously wouldn't say that that's the hardest part of his job. I don't love editing. I think it's difficult. I don't like editing. Sitting in a chair and really focusing on the work and cutting long interviews down, that's got to be tough. The most difficult part of Hector's job is probably the limitless potential of every single project. You can just keep working on something kind of forever. Although Hector never complains and welcomes the feedback, I'm sure sometimes it's exhausting to open up a video you've been working on and see all the notes left for changes. Feedback from clients for edit can be difficult, not because the clients done anything wrong, but because it's hard to sometimes put into words what it is that you're looking for.

So editing oftentimes runs into that. There's kind of an infinite level of upwards comparison that can happen in this field, and so I imagine that's probably the most difficult part of Hector's job. The hardest part I do for a living is going through all the footage and picking music when I edit. It's not like music or footage is bad. It's just really tedious sometimes, because it kind of takes a long time. I'm not going to get a little bored of that, but it's just kind of part of the process, so I don't really mind it.

- The compliment I get most. - Is probably his beard. - The compliment that David hears most is probably that he's a good listener. - I don't know, probably that he's intelligent. - He is very thoughtful, but I think he's a very curious person, so he's very interested in what you have to say. - He's always listening to clients, and always having an engaging conversation with them, really listening to them. - David and Kyle both have phenomenal, extraordinary beards. - Walking away from a conversation with David, you'll realize how curious of a person he is. - Oh, David is really into mixology, so I feel like he might get lots of compliments on drinks. - I think he really tries to understand the people that he's working with, and try to tell their story. - I think he immediately comes off as intelligent and very well-spoken. - These days, it's probably nice beard. I get a lot of nice beards. I wish I could grow that beard. I like my beard, I'm proud of my beard. I put a lot of effort into the beard, so I'm proud of that.
